New python-exhibit in the elephanthouse at munich zoo. Very soon it'll be opend.
I've always been told that royal pythons need smaller vivariums as the feel more secure, this actually happened in my college when a royal was moved to a larger viv. He didn't eat and he became snappy so he got put back in his old viv and now he's fine. We did this under recommendation from an excellent and very well renowned reptile shop.
And this viv seems to be about 9 feet long, 6 feet deep and about 7 feet high? That's a pretty big amount of space for burms, I can't see how you can find this inadequate? I've seen many exhibits for this species that was smaller.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

It might be six feet deep in the left, but the right wall looks more like 10 or 12 feet deep to me.

Possibly. What I got form this pic is that it appears to be perfectly adequate compared to a lot of vivs I've seen for Burms :)

Agree 100%.
