Can't wait to see the new dolphin/manatee house when it open, it looks to be a huge improvement.
Although the dolphin pool will be an outdoor extension to the existing pool.

wow how many manatees does the zoo have?

and I'm trying to remember something I saw on tv where there are only 4 in captivity it is either dugongs or manatees.

Dugongs....Manatees there are quite alot in zoos....

Define "quite a lot". There is no current Western institution keeping Amazonian Manatees, and afaik, only the Toba Aquarium keeps African Manatees. And "even" the numbers of zoos and other facilities keeping the different subspecies of the West Indian Manatee is limited.

i've seen many Manatees in Europe and in the US, Never saw any Dugongs.....

Europe:
-Beauval
-Nuremberg
-Tierpark Berlin
-Odense
-Randers
-Faunia Madrid
-Albufeira
-Arnheim

USA:
-Cincinnati
-Columbus
-Orlando
-Homosassa Springs
-Lowry Park
-Sea World San Diego
-Epcot
-Miami Aquarium

No offense, @drzoomi, but that's neither "many" nor "quite a lot", but rather a pretty clearly laid out number of animals...;)
