This new exhibit consists of 3 enclosures. The one in the photograph is the main (middle) one of the three, which has covered viewing. The right hand enclosure can be seen in the photo. This and the left hand ones are smaller in size than the main. When we first saw them in the distance, I had assumed they were aviaries, due to the tent-like netting.
The only barrier between cats and public in the main enclosure is the moat.
We didn't see any sign of Pallas Cats while we were viewing the enclosure, but having seen them many times before in other collections, it wasn't an issue for us.
