Photocall for stock-take

It's January, so it must be the 'stock take' photo opportunity. Kumbuka does his stuff...
@Pertinax, while I see what you mean by the photos giving animals Human attributes, as long as they aren't forcing the animals to pose in any way it seems fine to me. I mean, the way they are getting these photos is by the animals naturally playing with things. If they have a photo of a gorilla opening a present (which most zoos seem to do with many of their species), then it's only because they were intrigued (and enriched) by the present and thus opened it naturally by themselves. When I see those pics, I don't think of the animals having Human attributes, I just think of the animals having a bit of fun and excitement in their day.

As you say, despite being unaware of what is going on, the animal may even get some pleasure(?) and interest from something different presented to it. But I still can't help feeling its just a little close to the old Chimp tea parties of yesteryear, which the Chimps probably enjoyed too but are now frowned upon. Maybe I'm a purist, call me old fashioned if you will and maybe I'm being too picky here but there's just something about it that jarrs a bit with me. In no way am I suggesting the animals are physically disadvantaged though.
