Is this just sand? or is there something mixed in to bind it ? if not surely it will slide forward all the time and could drift in strong winds, it could end up looking as dull as Colchester edge of Africa hoofstock exhibit, fine on a sunny day but a mess in the rain unless the sand layer can naturally work down into a stone or large gravel layer to give a scree effect.
