This is the Red Panda exhibit on the first day Asia Quest opened. Note the shelter for the pandas wasn't constructed until a few months after the exhibit's opening.
The best red panda exhibit in North America? My vote would go to the National Zoo's enclosure in its superb "Asia Trail". There are tons of hiding opportunities, tree-level viewing, multiple areas for visitors to observe the mammals, and even misters and dense foliage in parts of the habiat. I'm also a big fan of the red panda exhibits at the Detroit and Bronx zoos, and at Woodland Park the red pandas are viewed from beneath a large tree as they climb at least 20 feet above the heads of visitors.
I think Toronto could contend for one of the best red panda habitats
There are two large yards, both containing towering trees that the pandas are free to climb. There are also multiple viewing windows which provide good views
