Thank you Ituri for the quick responce, now i understand. Still it is really sad, this is an endangered species, and a magnificent primate, hopefully other zoos in the world can keep this species with better results.
What about singapore zoo do you know if they hold them?

What about singapore zoo do you know if they hold them?
I have heard of many successes coming out of Singapore regarding Doucs. We might not be able to save them in the US, but I hear they are doing very well in their zoos.
SDZ did have 2 females off exhibit, but one died and then other was recntly transferred to Philadelphia Zoo and now lives with there mother/son pair (The mother is also from SDZ)
