Looking easier on the eyes now the planting has softened the rock, but has the mesh roof always been that low??

Looking nice now that the plantation has started to take place. It'll be lovely when the cubs are out of the den,by any chance did you manage to see them on a webcam or something like that?there is a picture here which you took yourself and it looks(to me!)the exact the same.

Indeed it does! Was looking for one from the same angle - cheers! Just looks fuller with the plants in, then.

I think I preferred it when it was bare rock-it looked more like a genuine Himalayan scree slope on the snowline- all bare rock. Same goes for Marwell's exhibit, that now looks like an overgrown weedy enclosure, not Himalaya.

Twycross' exhibit in its current form is very much reminiscent of the bit of the Himalaya I've visited (around Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, north of Taplejung in eastern Nepal), foliage and all, but that of course wasn't the range of the Snow Leopard. So it looks a lot like the Himalaya, but not necessarily like the most appropriate bit!

Its not the sort of Himalayan habitat Snow Leopards use though- I've never seen film of them in anything but bare scree- or with some grasses. Still, it looks okay I guess...:)

Well if we want to pick...the rock is the wrong color.
But still, a very attractive space that suggests mountain foothills.
