The cats can come right up to the glass so i wouldnt say it prevents viewing though it is perhpas unnecessary
perhaps planting is easier to provide more hiding spaces for the snow leopards and practically speaking it lower maintenance then upturning everyplant which dare show its face here ????

I thought that when it opened - sandstone isn't really good snow leopard camouflage....it would have looked amazing with slopes of broken slate and grey rock, even if a few plants did grow through.
