Part of Zoo Boise\'s conservation efforts. Working with Idaho Fish and Game southern Idaho ground squirrels are bred here and research is performed to discover the habitat requirements of this ESA candidate species and it\'s ESA Threatened relative the northern Idaho ground squirrel. 2009

Essentially yes. Those are life-size images of all of Idaho's ground squirrel species.

Yes sir. Consequently, Idaho is something of a bird-of-prey hotspot as well, not to mention a VERY healthy badger population.

Slight edit, I looked at the sign again yesterday, and they are all from Idaho, Washington, or Oregon. There are 4 species listed there that do not occur in Idaho.

It is great to see that local zoos - even the smaller ones - invest in a locally endangered native species program! Kudos to Zoo Boise!

The graphics are really a wow-factor!
