striped hyena exhibit

February 17, 2020
I only know 2 zoo have brown hyena now(Prague and Taihu) and 4 zoo have aardwolf.(all from Europe) Are there any in the US?

@aardvark250 Cincinnati have aardwolves, don't think there's any browns in the USA. Havana Zoo in Cuba have all three true hyaena species though, and I've seen a photo in the gallery of a brown hyaena in China recently.

The Living Desert - where this was taken - used to have aardwolf (sadly no more). I believe I saw brown hyena at Port Lympne when I first visited in 2009. I think that is the only time I have seen one. I also saw aardwolf at the (now closed) Rare Species Conservation Centre.
