Got a bit carried away there, I didn´t mean to suggest that snowleopard actually wants the Berlin zoos to be destroyed. But he - like me - does not like the cat enclosures in the Alfred Brehm building. THEY should transformed into something else.
Though from a purely architectural point of view, I remain deeply fascinated by this house. And as some of you might remember, forumster Animal has taken some truly breathtaking photographs there.
Sun bears are still in here. Aesthetically it's awful; I don't think it's a total washout from a bear point-of-view, however. Plans are in hand to develop new enclosures for the bears, though, along with other south-east Asian animals, so hopefully it won't be long before these are consigned to history.

And not a moment too soon! It just doesn't fit any bear species, maybe some other smaller type of mammal; possibly binturongs, or better yet, totally demolished.
@Blackduiker with more vegetation it may be interesting for Fossa, Palm Civets or other small carnivores if it still exist (I don't know personnally Berlin Zoos nor any zoo in Germany).
