Thanks again. . I like the idea (or should I say I-deer) of walk-through deer exhibits. Wallabies and kangaroos are just a bit too common. Although I guess I've never been through a walk-through potoroo exhibit.
A big enough paddock and you could do it with almost any species. The UK is littered with Deer Parks (often attached to stately homes) with usually Red and Fallow freeroaming around with the visitors.
The ultimate is Woburn Abbey Deer Park, with 10 species of deer (EDIT: which is much bigger than zoo enclosure is likely to be, of course!).
I would say not. It looks like a Tasmnian native hen (Gallinula mortierii, a species of flightless rail) but I'm not sure how likely it is they would have them
Not sure what that bird is, but definitely not a brush turkey. I was thinking it was shaped like a swamp hen, but way too light in colour, as Chlidonias suggests it may be a Native Hen (Tasmanian or Black-tailed) or even a Chestnut Rail or Dusky Moorhen.
As for Potoroos, I saw plenty during the day at Cleland so you should be able to see them in this enclosure.
