Now before I begin. The entire reason behind the concept of this thread’s existence, was simply based on a random idea that I recently had, just to see whether or not anyone else here on ZooChat other than myself, could easily make some sounds based on certain animal vocalizations (ex. a lion’s...
Chances are, you’re aware that the wildlife of the world isn’t doing too great. The climate is changing, the forests are falling, and the reefs are bleaching. Habitats are fragmented, separated and shrinking in size, and conservation efforts are wide-ranging but with little apparent success. One...
(Note: I don’t know where to put this because it’s a mix between fantasy and general zoo discussion)
I have been scrolling through lists of human made extinctions and I thought, what species that have recently gone extinct would be the best fit for zoos? Discuss about this. I don’t want...
I will start. I have been scared of Asian elephants. The circus elephants going crazy due to the abuse and killing people just scares me. They have those eyes that stare into my soul, waiting for me to fall into the exhibit and crush me to dust. Maybe it’s the circus incidents and the eyes that...
Zoos have to innovate to survive, and even the world greatest zoos still have outdated enclosers. Many zoos have great ambitions allready, with new modern exhibits, and new species in planing. Which Zoo will have in the near future the greatest accomplishments, or which zoos plans are the...
So I have a huge problem since I have autism since I was growing up I love animals and I learn so many facts and increasing knowledge of them whether searching online, watching, nature documentaries, and going to zoos, aquariums, hikes, or any animal institutes.

2 wallaroos and a red kangaroo were found dead last week and the suspect is a mountain lion cub. The cub is at Oakland Zoo awaiting for its release after a medical checkup.
