A section of the asian lion enclosure at Planckendael animal park in Muizen, Belgium. The exhibit was built in 2006 and houses a couple and their 3 recently born cubs. The photo was taken on December the 16th.

Thes Asien lions live in the relatively new Cat Jungle, with enclsoures for South East Asian cats. Also found here are sumatran tigers, rusty cats and clouded leopards. The lions and tigers have large, open outdoor enclosures, while the clouded leopards has two aviaries.

Tonzi, a female Asian Elephant at Twycross Zoo, England. This was taken on a trip to the zoo with my work to a mini conference type thing on environmental enrichment. We made things for the elephants (and other animals) and the keepers gave them the things - a log, with holes drilled in it...
