Yesterday was a great day for wildlife in Germany. By opening a gate 8 wisents were given the possibility to leave their temporaly enclosure and roam free in at least 30 squir kilometers of fields and woodland !

When we last visited the zoo ( April 2008 ), the crocodile area of the reptile house was sealed off, as a new exhibit for the Morelet's Crocodiles was being built. Does anybody know if this exhibit is now open? What will the zoo do with the Mexico House that the crocs were in before ?
