This is a Cuvier's dwarf caiman in its very beautiful and tropical enclosure in Planet Zoo. The tunnel you see in the background leads to the land area and partly goes over the visitors' path. The tunnel is also the indoor enclosure, although, in the future, there comes a roof over the exhibit.

The enclosure for Cuvier's dwarf caimans, shared with a Arrau river turtles. Zootierliste states these are currently the only ones at a UK zoo but I couldn't tell you how true that is.

Are there any Yacare Caiman in the United States? The only one I could find was in Connecticut's Beardsley zoo, and St.Augustine does not list them, possibly because even though they claim to have every caiman, the Yacare was disputed at one point, but not anymore I believe. I find it hard to...

Baby caiman rescued from the traffic. He's living in the old caiman pond with amazon turtles (Podocnemis expansa) and some Geoffroy's side-necked turtles (Phrynops geoffroanus). Hope he will be soon joining the zoo's caiman group in the main exhibit.

The caiman lizard is a semi-aquatic species named for its large, heavy scales that resemble those of the caiman crocodile. It has a green body and a reddish-orange head.
