Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Gardens only Cheetah, 7 year old Anya, died on Jan. 18 following what was thought to be a routine physical examination. The cause of death is undetermined. Anya underwent a root canal during the physical. Will and more when I learn more about this.

When we last visited the zoo ( April 2008 ), the crocodile area of the reptile house was sealed off, as a new exhibit for the Morelet's Crocodiles was being built. Does anybody know if this exhibit is now open? What will the zoo do with the Mexico House that the crocs were in before ?
