Old Orang-Utan house at Chester- still there at present but less often used due to new Realm of the Red Ape development. Should be re-furbished in Phase 2 perhaps?
Grey-cheeked Conure (Pyrrhura leucotis griseipectus) at Chester Zoo in January 2006, shortly before the two remaining females were moved to an off show aviary. Two pairs were imported but both males died.
This picture was taken At chester. Sorry it's a bit blurred, we couldn't get close to the glass. It was for 2 reasons.
1. the zoo has put in a new barrier inbetween the public and the glass
2. There was a large enthusiastic woman flailing her arms around near the mandrill enclosure...
