    African Leopard

    Champion hunters of the savannah and rainforests, these are the most widespread of all big cats in Africa, to which they can carry prey that’s twice their body weight, and are extremely stealthy hunters when stalking their prey. (Art made back in early November)
  2. Nile Crocodile

    One of Africa’s most iconic and dangerous crocodilians, best known for their powerful bite, sharp conical teeth that sink into the flesh of their prey, and especially their method of ambush to which they attack by surprise. (Art made back in October)
  3. Ground Pangolin

    Ground Pangolin

    One of Africa’s four pangolins, these scaly anteaters are well known for being the only mammals whose scales cover up from head to tail, and dig burrows and feast on ants and termites in the African savannas and woodlands. (Art made in late October)
  4. Mohol Bushbaby

    Mohol Bushbaby

    A nocturnal primate also known as the galago, these small prosimians are most active at night, popping out of the trees that they sleep during the day and are known for making calls resembling that of a human baby’s cry. (Art made back in October)
  5. Toco Toucan

    Toco Toucan

    The largest and most recognizable of all toucans, as they’re one of the best known Neotropical birds and most represented toucan, known for it’s massive yellow-orange beak with a black base and it’s black body and white throat, and makes frog-like vocalizations. (Art made back in early October)
  6. Pygmy Hippopotamus

    Pygmy Hippopotamus

    Smaller than their larger river cousins, the pygmy hippo is reclusive and nocturnal, as the live in the forests and swamps of west Africa. Sadly, they’re endangered from habitat loss and hunting for bushmeat, and are very difficult to study in the wild. (Art made back in February 2024)

    Babirusa

    One of the world’s weirdest mammals found im the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, to which due to their prehistoric like appearance, they are called the pig deer by the locals in the Malay language.
  8. Greater Flamingo

    Greater Flamingo

    One of the largest and most widespread of all flamingos, found across mudflats and lagoons in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

  10. Plains Zebra

    Plains Zebra

    One of the most common and geographically widespread species of zebra found in Africa, recognized for their broader stripes, and are commonly found in large social herds where they keep an eye out for predators.
  11. Blue Wildebeest

    Blue Wildebeest

    One of Africa’s most recognizable antelope with broad shoulders, herds of millions travel across the Serengeti every year to feast on the grass while following the seasonal rains.
  12. Wattled Crane

    Wattled Crane

    One of Africa’s most elegant birds, to which they’re found in the Okavango Delta, and are one of the largest cranes in all of Africa, easily recognizable from the red patches on their face.
  13. Black Rhinoceros

    Black Rhinoceros

    One of the smaller of the two African rhino species, the other being the white rhino, to which they have hooked lips to help browse on the leaves of bushes and trees.
  14. African Lion

    African Lion

    Arguably Africa’s most iconic big cat, with males known for their gorgeous manes, as they’re the kings of the savannahs and plains that they inhabit.
  15. Gaur

    Gaur

    One of the largest and most powerful wild cattle found in Asia. Timid and shy despite their great size and power, the gaur is powerful enough to charge through the jungle at a surprising speed, and overpowers the tiger which is the natural predator of the gaur.

    Andean Condor

    Condors are arguably my favorite birds of prey, and the Andean Condor is no exception because they’re the national symbol of Peru, which is the country of origin of where I’m from.

    Easily one of my favorite reptiles considering they’re the world’s largest lizard only found in the island of Komodo in Indonesia. (Art originally drawn back in January of this year, since this year is currently the Year of the Dragon)

    One of Africa’s most elegant and beautiful birds, as they’re one of the largest living storks in the world and are only found in Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Easily one of my favorite pterosaurs because it’s the closest living thing to a real life dragon. (Art made back in March of this year)
  20. Okapi

    Okapi

    Best known as the only living relative to the giraffe, these animals are found in the Ituri Forest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to which it blends in perfectly with the brown and white stripes of it’s rump in the African rainforest.
