Another modern zoo adapted to house extinct animals!
Just so everyone knows, EVERYONE can make their own Prehistoric Park based on current zoos, even those that have already been adapted, as they wish.
Coming soon: Australia Zoo!
A crazy thought experiment of mine; what if the grounds of a modern zoo would house Prehistoric animals instead? I've done it with the Barcelona Zoo because it's the one empty template I've managed to create. Species list for the pavilions soon to be added in the comments below.
A re-avaluation and re-structuring of the Double Zoo I made 14 years ago. The zoo would be located in a tropical/subtropical environment, like Singapore, Brazil, Florida or Queensland. Species list coming soon!
The goal of this thread is write down the name of a zoo you made up and describe it, whether by exhibit or animals. For clarity, you have to add description/walkthrough to each exhibit sections as opposed to just listing them and animals. I'll go first as usual.
Trafalgar Zoo
The Trafalgar Zoo...
Inspired by Daubentoniidae, I've decided to make my own take on how I'd improve/reorganize the Barcelona Zoo. This zoo is already aiming for less species with more space and geographic subdivisions, and I agree with those ideas, which I've applied.
Hi all, I have a challenge i wanted to see if anyone might be interested in doing.
A Zoo that has three zones. The only rules are they are the only places from which animals in the zoo
can come from. Like the 'African Savannas' 'Asian Rainforests' and 'Australian Outbacks' regions that many...
Hey everyone; I just joined zoochat to get more ideas regarding a zoo me and my gf are planning on building in the future. I hope to enjoy many interesting conversations with you all!
So, I think this Fantasy Zoo will be unique. It is a fictional zoo, in a fictional country. This fictional country, Palm Island, is supposed to be about the size of New Zealand's Stewart Island and located between the Philippines and Guam. It is a British colonial island and very well-developed...
After coming up with a pun that will be put towards the end of this post, I have been forumulating an idea (that will never happen, but I think it's fun and interesting) for an aquarium that only displays cartilaginous fish. I have no idea where it would be located, so you can use your...
Here is one of my ultimate, ideal "zoo" ideas. It will never happen, because it would cost hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars and years of legal negotiations to make (and I'm not sure if it's even physically possible), but it would be a true wonder of the world, an artificial...
Here's a concept for an alligator enclosure surrounded by a reptile/nocturnal house, in three sizes. The alligators would mostly live in the outside enclosure, but should they hybernate or something, they'd go indoors.
NOTE: This version is quite a lot earlier than the other two.

NOTE: Being larger, I included lemurs.

NOTE: The movable wall would be removed should the alligators be compatible.
Ok so I really love Gibbons they have to be one of my favourite animals families (amoungst others) but I really wanted to pose some questions to my fellow animal & conservation fans here.
So Hainan Gibbons are in serious peril unfortunately (is it less than 25 individual now :( yikes!!) but i...

Mine would be
