    Although the invasive honeysuckle is a less than exciting sight in Missouri I think it looks really nice in this photo. These guys are normally just curled up in their den so it was nice to see them out and about this visit.

    Favorite hyena species?

    To me, hyenas are rather underrated carnivores, but I like all four of them to be honest. I really like spotted hyenas because of their well-known cackling noise and aardwolves because of their interesting diet of insects.

    Second time I saw these Hyenas at the zoo, but this is the first time I seen them actually walking around and active. Probably cause the zoo was getting ready to close for the day (we were there like around 4 and they close at 4:30) but such a great shot I gotten of this Hyena!
