I've been looking for pictures of the elephant house (Herbivora Building) before it was renovated around 2000 (Vanishing Giants). As a child I remember seeing hippos and walking through the building; does anyone have any photos of either the interior or exterior of the building from before 2000...
I am looking for all research publications about giraffe or okapi, even both. I would prefer in English.
Do you know anything? Or where I should look for it?

I read in another thread that Chester was the last zoo to be allowed to get okapi as a new species as no new collections will be permitted to acquire them at the moment.
My question is how did Chester go about this process and what where the conditions met which allowed them to house okapis...

At the Columbus Zoo. Karatasi was born in 1991 at White Oak Conservation Center to Dua and Amani. He was White Oak's first Okapi calf. He arrived in Columbus in 1996.
