This photo (probably taken in the early 1920's) is of Jamuna (aka. Jumuna), probably the most famous and loved of any of Auckland Zoo's animals... Jamuna came from India to the zoo in 1923 and died in 1964 of range of ailments including foot problems... She was approximately 50 years old...
