This pond is full of huge fish and on previous visits, I noticed a few turtles. I couldn't see any turtles on this visit but a lot of fish! If I recall correctly, there used to be two ponds like this but one is now covered by a play area.

Maureen Cook founded the rare breeds farm in 1991 and died in 2020.

The enclosure for African spurred tortoise. I believe it is built on the site of some old aviaries but I could be wrong.

A new nocturnal room within the Bunny Barn at Ponderosa Zoo. Here you can find rats, Macleay's stick insects, Cairo spiny mice, death's head cockroach, Mexican red knee tarantula, Budwing stick insects and chinchillas. The enclosure in the background is still under construction for a new species.

This cage held a racoon in 2011. Thankfully, today it's home to an African grey parrot.
