This is the tiger arena at Auckland Zoo (2008)... It is an original zoo enclosure (constructed 1922) and held up to two prides of lions for its first 70+ years...
Keeper Michael Colbourne and young Sumatran Orang utan (Pongo abelii) at Bristol Zoo. Mr Colbourne formerly worked at Chester and is now at Monkey World I believe.

Thes Asien lions live in the relatively new Cat Jungle, with enclsoures for South East Asian cats. Also found here are sumatran tigers, rusty cats and clouded leopards. The lions and tigers have large, open outdoor enclosures, while the clouded leopards has two aviaries.
