This is the tiger arena at Auckland Zoo (2008)... It is an original zoo enclosure (constructed 1922) and held up to two prides of lions for its first 70+ years...
the tigerwoods in ouwehand is a big enclosure. The siberian tigers used to have 2 enclosures (1 big for a female + cubs and 1 for the male) but since the zoo started with white tigers they "only" have the big enclosure left. the couple of white tigers lives in the smaller enclosure.
This photo shows the extendable cages between the two Sumatran Tiger enclosures, female on the left and male on the right... This allows the zoo to provide both the female, Molek, and the Male, Oz, with their own territories and the animals only come together for breeding purposes in an attempt...

Thes Asien lions live in the relatively new Cat Jungle, with enclsoures for South East Asian cats. Also found here are sumatran tigers, rusty cats and clouded leopards. The lions and tigers have large, open outdoor enclosures, while the clouded leopards has two aviaries.
The new tiger enclosure for amur tigers in Wuppertal Zoo, is huge, and has to be one of the best i have seen. It opened in May 2007 along with the new lion enclosure.
