I'm wondering if you might be able to help me with a rather strange request. I am conducting some research for a friend who is trying to trace a Tortoise named Noah who he believes was donated to Bristol zoo by his Parents Karen and Geoff Lye in around 1982-1984. Not much more...
Im sure some of you remember the past thread (which I was unable to find) describing how a Tortoise Sanctuary was reclassified as a Zoo by the Council. Describing the Tortoise as Wild Animals, not domestics.

The tropical house in the African Village in Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. The African Village is one of the best themes in any zoo I have seen. The tropical house is used as an indoor enclosure for pygmy hippopotamus and spurred tortoise. The hippoes can be viewed both above and under water.

Bronze statue of a Galapagos Tortoise at the San Diego Zoo 11/10/08. Many years ago they used to offer Galapagos Tortoise rides. Thankfully they stopped that practice a long time ago. This bronze statue is now in the children's zoo for kids to get their photos with.
A Yellow-footed (Chelonoidas denticulata) Tortoise was on its back, which seemed to worry the watching visitors more than it did the tortoise. He (or she) was back on his (or her) feet within a few minutes.
