Smithsonian National Zoo 2 female kiwi chicks this year

Was just on the national zoo website and discovered that there was a second female kiwi chick that hatched on the 15th of June

She and the female "Hiri" from earlier this year are doing well and Hiri has now graduated to the outdoors

What I found strange though is that there was never a formal press release on this second chick, just a little update in the kiwi section on the website

1.1 kiwi, imported from New Zealand have arrived at the national zoos breeding facility at Front Royal.
