Chester Zoo 2 new animals bcoming in!!

ISIS list's them as having 1:2 so i'm assuming that it's Liepzig because unless there both coming from Hamburg there isn't another German zoo with a surplus female.
 
A bit off topic but is a new male Indian Rhino on Chester's wish list for 2010 or are they planning to wait a couple of years?

Not a wish list, a definite but like Zoogiraffe has said (in another thread) we shall have to wait and see.

Was it the small house by the Children's Farm that last housed porcupines but has had all sorts of creatures in it over the years ?
 
Yes it had anteaters, capybaras, porcupines, rabbits and guinea pigs and ducks over the years.
 
Great news! Obviously the anteaters can't be housed in Spirit of the Jaguar... they'd create HAVOC with the ant exhibit! ;)

they could go outside - or maybe even the giant otters :O (pref giant otters!!!)
 
Well, in Hamburg there are 3,3 and in Leipzig there are 1,2 coming from Dortmund.
Dortmund won't give animals away they need them to breed on its own.
I think Hamburg will give 1,1 away in next 12 months.
Doue la Fontaine has a young litter, same as Duisburg.
So maybe you can calculate? :D
 
Isn't the South American themed area around the Spectacled Bears enclosure? Maybe the anteaters will be somewhere near there. :confused:

Not to my knowledge - I think there's a UK Zootierliste user who's a bit trigger-happy - there've been quite a few cases of this (I remember Mercedes the Polar Bear arrived at Highland on Zootierliste weeks before she did in reality!).

They could keep the Anteaters in the Tropical Jaguar Enclosure (reason being if you look closely near one of the windows there is an Ant Colony loose in the Jaguar Enclosure - Just look around on the floor of the enclosure and you will see them) I kid, I joke

I Have no idea where the Anteaters will be kept though.
