20/21 Football Season

It was looking like it was going to be an interesting year until Man City came out with 14 wins in a row...

Meanwhile in the rest of Europe, only the Bundesliga is looking normal - in La Liga, Atletico Madrid are 8 points ahead of both Barca and Real Madrid, in Ligue 1, PSG are 3rd, albeit only two points off the top and in Serie A Juventus are third, behind both Milan teams.

For those that are familiar with the 'Sunderland Til I Die' series on Netflix or just the club in general you'll know what I'm talking about here. I was on zoo chat earlier and I saw this ad pop up and I could be wrong but I'm quite sure this is Martin Bain o_O;)

Hey, a Sunderland fan! with me, that makes two of us mackems on here Jude!

I can see why you might think it, but I don't think that's Bain. Isn't he running the Indian league or something now?

Haha it's nice to see I'm not the only one,

I'm really not sure regarding Bain, I just got a bit of a shock when the ad popped up, I'm just glad he's long gone, I'm putting my faith in Dreyfus, the comeback starts now :D:p

Aye, me too. Onwards and upwards.
I am missing the footy immensely. Not only the sport, but the connection with my roots that gets renewed every time I travel 'home' for the match. Its getting tough now, can't wait to get back.

I'm the same mate, it's hard living close to the stadium (Seaham) knowing that I can't actually go to the match and I have to make do with the £10 streams, luckily the streams are being improved as of tonight I believe so thats a positive. And as you say it's not all about the sport itself, its the buildup and the atmosphere, walking over the bridge and the man shouting programmes underneath the train station. If everything goes to plan though we should be back later in the year, a playoff final win in front of 45,000 mackems at Wembley wouldn't be a bad way to get back like ;)

It's nice to be reminded that there is more to football than the EPL. I've never been a regular to many games, but the last one was actually a Sunderland victory, unfortunately ;)

As things are, I can't see Man City losing the top spot now and would be a little surprised if either Man UTD or Leicester City dropped out of the top four. It would be nice if either West Ham or Villa managed to take a top four spot, but I doubt they will.

Haha thats a surprise as we never were very good at winning in the premier league, or the championship for that matter:rolleyes:

It was cup game ... I don't want to think about it anymore :p

Actually, you lost the game, but won the penalty shoot out that resulted.

Only if you provide the jiffy bag, Cat-Man

Something along the lines of:
Pickford, Pope, Henderson

Trent, Walker, Maguire, Stones, Mings, Dier (assuming Gomez doesn’t recover) Chilwell, Shaw,

Rice, Henderson, Mount, Grealish, Saka, Foden

Kane, Calvert Lewin, Saka, Rashford, Sterling, Sancho.

Unlucky to miss out: Maddison, Barnes, James, Coady (and any of the other 10 or so right backs who would walk into the squad any other year).

Probably whatever the Liverpool team and Klopp are! Embarrassing :p
Liverpool were finished the day relegated Watford hammered them a year ago! The fear has gone! 6 home defeats in a row, several against bottom 6 teams - PATHETIC - KLOPP gone!
