2008 A good year for Dutch zoos

A reflection of the high stanard. It seems that each Dutch Zoo has it's own place. Without taking away from others.

I attended dutch zoos 5 times last year. I wonder how many of the 10.5 million are from othere countries?
 
Emmen and Burgers have a lot of German visitors. I don't know about other zoos, but I guess Gaiapark will also be visited by Germans and also by Belgiums.
 
@kiang: thanks for posting the link, and many ZooChatters feel as if the Netherlands is arguably the #1 country in Europe for zoos.

So true Snowleopard, just cant think of a better couuntry for zoos.

Yes, we are a small country, but we have over 16 million inhabitants. And there are a lot of german visitors. But people with a yearcard visit their zoo more than once a year of course, and every visit is counted separately. So if you would say that 5 million people actually visited a zoo, this number would be plausible ( don't see that number as a fact, it's just an example).
