Brandywine Zoo 2014 Update?

So this is a small zoo, I would say 10-15 acres at the most and kinda old but not bad. Animals all look healthy, staff seems nice. It took me about 30 minutes to go through. Talking to staff they have new management and are planning updates and some new things. They have been in the paper and news so maybe things will pick up. It is a nice small zoo , just needs to be updated really. You can get close to the tiger and their condor exhibit is nicer than most bigger zoos. It is about 30 minutes south of me so I may check back and update.

A $10 million expansion was announced; some of the plans include a rainforest center, a special events area, red pandas, and a bald eagle habitat called "Eagle Ridge."

yeah I went down for a visit end of June. They just put a pair of red pandas out, in one of their older exhibits that they renovated. Looks nice. The eagles are out at the back on display and a sign said more improvements coming to that part of the zoo. Saw some signs about a rainforest but it did not have date just some pics of what they are wanting I think. Looked like they were starting something new in the middle of the zoo as a backhoe was there digging.
