That was on Panorama on Monday night. FIFA wanted the UK government to make them exempt from taxes, and also to control which brands of merchandise could be sold. TThey also said that the Dutch would suffer a huge financial loss if they staged the world cup.
Sure, but when there's a community you're part off then there might be other interests you'd like to share with them without having to sign up to another forum.

) every now and then The FIFA President is a evil person seriosuly, he told the commitee, just before the vote NOT to vote for England. But Qatar!, Come on, No Homosexuals, Drinking and women can only go to the matches if they are convered from head to foot and there hair covered, seriously!, MY Dad reckond Uefa should Breakaway from Fifa, cuz lets face it (no offence intended but) it's only Really Brazil And Argentina we would miss :/
A disappointing announcement to all football (soccer) fans here in Aus. If we were picked to host the world cup, it would be a real boost for not only Aussie tourism, but also football developement in Australia and a greater awareness and understanding for the world game.
I was kind of disappointed that Qatar managed to host the WC when I believe they actually have never even qualified for one!

As they've settled two do we get 8 years rest before we go through the whole shenanigans again? They should tell FIFA where to go. Fancy the bloomin' prime minister going crawling round licking *****, it's pathetic.
I wish Australia had been given the 2022 world cup. The grand final could've been in Melbourne and then Melbourne would surely be one of the best sporting cities in the world. An Olympics, a Grand Prix, a Grand Slam, a Commonwealth Games and being pretty close to a MotoGP.

Here's an idea on a new voting system for future world cups.
All the nations that qualify for the finals should have a vote on were the NEXT world cup is to be held.
Only the teams that qualify for the finals should be allowed to have a vote and the FIFA commitee should not be allowed to vote on the issue but only be allowed to set the date of Final.
If the country that is nominated is not propared to host or cannot for any reason then the second country with the most votes should be allowed to host the finals.
Once a nation as held the finals then they should be excluded from the next three voting finals.
Is it true Mr Blatter only knows two words of English " Not England"
