This website has been mentioned a couple of times on ZooChat, but in reality it deserves its own thread. A family of 5 began this massive zoo odyssey last August 1st at the Louisville Zoo, and they finish this August 1st at the Columbus Zoo. It is certainly an impressive road trip!

One very interesting thing about this family is that they ARE the typical zoo visitors out there. They are the type of people zoos are trying to attract, to build up their admissions numbers, and thus to generate more revenue -- money that is needed to improve animal habitats, modernize exhibit areas, and make things better for both the animals and the human visitors.

With this in mind about these typical zoo visitors, it should be noted they speak very highly of some zoos which are often slammed on ZooChat. In Tampa, the Lowry Park Zoo was among their favorites, and the Memphis and Fort Worth Zoos were called "among the 2 or 3 best zoos we've seen".
