Blackbrook Zoo (Closed) 99p entry to blackbrook

Wow that's cool! Bristol should do this lol :D

Quick question, what is the best way to get to Blackbrook if your coming from Chester? Off the M6 at Sandbach through Congleton? or done to Stoke and then up?

Personnaly I would say come off at Junction 18 and go through Holmes Chappel and Congleton and up to Leek and then onward to Blackbrook,as this will keep you on main roads that will have been gritted until you turn off for the few hundred yards off the road the main road down to the parks entrance.

Thanks, this does seem the more direct route.

I would agree with Zoogiraffe, if you come to Stoke you are going down in order to go back up again. It's snowing heavily in Stoke at the moment anyway.

Also I`m using local knowledge of the roads because I haven`t always lived in Middlewich,I spent alot of time up in the Staffordshire Moors in my younger days Rock climbing,so know the roads can be a bit tricky.

Worked on a few schemes down that way, although they were closer to Stoke.

I'll think I shall wait until there is a very small chance of snow, as it comes down quick that way, cheer for the heads up Bongorob.

Latest Staffordshire road news. The road to Winkhill is barely passable, although the snow in Stoke has now stopped.

Thats good looking like we might be a few less than expected but should still be enough to keep you all on your toes with our questions!!

And we did indeed make it to Blackbrook to distract bloodycurtus from his work! :D

Great fun tramping around in 2 inches of snow; a few photos below and plenty more in the gallery.

Glad to hear you made it there ok. Will be visiting myself at the end of the month too.

Do you know how many River Hog they have Blackbrook? Can't find much information on the website/map.

Regards,

Martin

That is a shame, was just wondering as there is a paragraph on the site saying about the 'exciting new river hog exhibit'.
