A big hello from the Netherlands!

Hi, my name is Patricia! I just happened to bump into ZooChat while searching the Internet for some Zoo-info and decided to join
English is not my native language, so my spelling/grammar might be a little off sometimes...sorry!

I'm a big Zoo-fanatic since childhood, but never went abroad until recently. (thankfully the Netherlands have lots of beautiful zoo's) So I had some catching up to do: the last couples of years I planned some trips to zoo's in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy etc. and planning to visit more and more!

Oh, my favorite Zoo for now must be Zoom Erlebniswelt (Germany)... It's huuuuuge!

And I can understand why Dutch is so hard for foreigners. We love to make things difficult even for ourselves This is wat the Dutch call a Meerkat:

And 'your' Meerkat is what we call a stokstaartje (little stick-tail). Quite confusing
