Closed A 'Like' Button for ZooChat!

On Zoochat we express our 'likes' and 'dislikes' with (mostly) informed posts and comments, not by pushing buttons without effort or the slightest thought to what it is about. While I use Facebook, the last thing I would want would be for Zoochat to take things from there.
I do plan on adding some basic integration with Facebook and Twitter. Won't change the way the forums work, but it will allow you to spread the word about interesting stuff happening here.

i don't want to get rid of the forums but i think it is a good idea 'coz you might just 'like' a post and have nothing to add on it.
I understand what you're saying, but one thing I like about Zoochat is that it is more serious than online social networks. The general rule here on Zoochat should be that you tell us by commenting if you agree/like or disagree/dislike something and then why; otherwise don't do anything, except perhaps send the user a PM if you wish to discuss it in person.
I use Facebook only to follow up on what friends in foreign lands are up to. That is all that it is to me; I don't fool around there for hours each day like some I know, use applications or comment on photos and posts like there's no tomorrow.
The 'Like' button on Facebook sometimes makes me gaze. For instance, online newspapers that allow readers connected to Facebook to comment on their news stories. Sometimes I find stories of homicides, disasters and accidents, followed by the line "X users like this". Brainless use like that is not something I would like for Zoochat.
