A new aquarium for Skegness

Having seen the proposed plans for this attraction it doesn't appear to be very big and I wonder if there will be any unique/out of the ordinary displays which will set it apart from the Sealife centre format.

Nature Land at the other end of the front also has a small aquarium and "local" marine display within it's broader animal exhibits.
As a wet weather attraction it would have a wider appeal than a children's play area, so it may just work.
About 15yrs ago an aquarium opened in Cleethorpes, entry prices were quite expensive and I remember visiting with my 7 yr old nephew, who though seemingly interested in the exhibits, was still through the place in around 30mins - not exactly value for money. I don't recall it staying open for too long.

They're turning a play centre into a aquarium?! What a brilliant idea but shame for the children

Why is it a shame for the children? As a child I'd much rather have been taken to an aquarium than a play centre. I think it's fantastic for the children.

Skegness Aquarium.

Visited the Skegness Aquarium yesterday. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with it. It wasn't your conventional species on show. I will post a list of species later on.
