A zoo's most famous animal

As a test of which animals' reputations go beyond zoos I asked a friend who will go to a zoo for the day but is not particularly interested if she could name any zoo animals, she came up with Chi Chi the giant panda and Jambo the gorilla.
 
I think zamba the southern white rhino from colchester zoo because he is the first successfull rhino to be born through artifitial insemination in the UK and onlyn the second in europe.
