Regarding European zoo collections, you have Cologne listed twice under Germany. And given that you used Zootierliste for this, why are there still so many missing from your list? One of the Russian collections is not listed, and you've missed out Denmark, France, Poland, Switzerland, and the Ukraine entirely.

I am sorry I am not to good at this this is my fault and I’m aware. I don’t mean to cause anyone to feel bad so if someone could take over that would be great.

It's your list, so there's no need for anyone else to take over. You're new to the site and it takes time to learn and pick up on some things, so mistakes early on are common. Just keep a few things in mind:

1) If someone provides you information and you can't confirm it yourself, ask them politely where they got their information rather than ignoring their post.

2) Try to be thorough when collecting information - errors happen, but if you're (for example) going through Zootierliste holdings, try to go down each column carefully and double-check to make sure you didn't miss anything.

3) Search engines are your friend. I was able to confirm some places that you said you couldn't simply by typing things into a search engine like "audubon zoo aardvark". I've personally found that putting the key word - in this case aardvark - in quotations helps narrow the search down to only pages where that word shows up, so you can try that too if it helps

4) Remember that zoo blog and social media posts are just as much a confirmation as it being listed on the zoo's website (zoo website species lists are often not comprehensive).

5) You can also use the Search function on ZooChat to look through media and forum posts for confirmations; I used this for the crowned lemurs as well.

I miss the old Aardvark House in Brookfield. The building is still there, just abandoned and without any animals for a while.

And what about the aardvarks ?

Does anyone has a bit information about Aardvarks at the Bronx-Zoo in the 196oty`s and until when aardvarks were kept in the World of Darkness ?

And what about the aardvarks ?
Their last aardvark was sent out for breeding reasons, so I have heard. One of their other aardvarks was Paatsy, who per this post is now at the Lincoln Park Zoo, and was still present last year. I am fairly sure I saw her last month... well, her tail sticking out of a log, anyhow.

Does anyone know if there have been any recent births or whether this is an expanding population?

I think aardvarks are much harder to keep track of than other zoo animals because of how differently they are kept between zoos.
Some zoos display them publicly (like Henry Vilas, Lincoln Park, or Detroit), while others keep them as ambassadors (like DAK, Point Defiance, or San Diego) and they don’t even get a mention on the zoo website.
I didn’t even know Phoenix had an aardvark for the last 3 years until I saw her in a video on their Facebook page!

There are no aardavarks in the Madrid zoo, they are in Faunia.
