Adding New Species to the Gallery!

Just discovered that already on July 3 I uploaded a photo of a species which was still not represented in our Gallery. Therefor I've just uploaded 2 more photos of the species ( and it's nest ) today. The photos of the White-billed buffalo-weaver can be found in the The Gambia Wildlife Gallery :

Just uploaded a photo of a species sofar not represented in our Gallery. Made this photo at the end of August at a Reptile-fair in the Netherlands. In zoos this species - the Thicktail day gecko - Phelsuma mutabilis - is only very rarely kept and at the moment only kept ( at least on Europe ) at Plzen Zoo :

I have recently uploaded a couple pictures from different locations in Japan. Almost all of them are new to Zoochat. Here is one of my favourites, the only living sailfish under human care presently:
Here's another interesting one, this is not just the only specimen in captivity ever, this is (after the ones of the aquarium itself) the first picture of a living specimen on the internet. It was put on show within days before my visit.

For those interested in more rarities, I am planning on posting a lot more as soon as the admins are able to add new zoos/aquariums to Zoochat.

Just uploaded the first photo of the Armitage's cylindrical skink ( Chalcides armitagei ) in our Gallery. This species was long time almost unknown and the few specimens were collected all in the Gambia. In the meantime some more specimens were collected and it has been found also in other countries ( Senegal and Guinee-Bissau ). It has been kept in the past ( 1922 ) at London Zoo ( from were the species was discribed ) and at the moment The Reptiles Farm in Gambia is the only place were the species is kept ( behind the scenes ).

Just uploaded a photo of a Black-eyed thicklip ( Hemigymnus melapterus ) in the Animals at shops- Gallery which I made last month. By checking the Gallery I didn't found any previous photo's of this species so I guess this one is a new species for the Gallery :) :
