All three species in this image are new to the gallery - the coral Dendrophyllia boschmai, anemone Halcurias hiroomii, and brittle star Ophiothrix panchyendyta
Adding New Species to the Gallery!

Hydrozoanthus gracilis and Rhizopsammia minuta mutsuensis (a coral with an actually accepted subspecies - I didn't think it possible!
)
Finally figured out what this was - and it's a new genus for the gallery! I'd spent quite a while trying to figure what this was, under the assumption it was a blenny (Blennioidei) - but it's a sculpin!

Would've imagined this one would be here already but considering I didn't see any Oregon Coast Aquarium, Birch Aquarium seems to be one of the few holders (actually they seem to be the only holders, Vancouver didn't have any signed last time and Oregon didn't have any on exhibit)

I'm very suprised that this peacock bass hasn't been present in the Gallery before, I thought they're more common in the fish trade!
Not a great photo, but realised there weren't any images of this species in the gallery while I was writing the Acanthuridae thread.
Finally got an ID on the codling - it's Pseudophycis palmata. The media title has been edited.Two new fishes from Tasmania. I haven't confidently identified the codling to species, but regardless it's a new species for the gallery as no others of it's genus have been posted
I recently emailed Uozu Aquarium to get an ID on these insigned species - all three of which appear to be new to the gallery! However, some sources treat Dictyosoma temminckii as a synonym of D. buergeri, which is already represented in the ZooChat galleries.

Somewhat of a good photo to be used to physicaly shows what a true C. cyanopogon looks like compared to the far more common C. sonnerati.
While there is a photo uploaded by me labelled as this species, it turns out that ID was wrong (But it still count as a new species added to the gallery, since I'm sure it's C. marmorata that was previously not represented in the Gallery
). This is the first picture of an true C. semiadii on ZooChat.

This is an glossogobius giuris. Notice the more larger body, true butis butis are smaller and flatter. Though it's still new to the gallery.
This is perhaps lutjanus fulvus, but I'm not fully certain. But, this is clearly not L. boutton, those fish are yellowish with yellow tail.moluccan snapper (lutjanus boutton)

Took a quick trip to the "MaST Center Aquarium" (basically a marine science lab for one of the colleges here that has free admission and is open to guests on weekends), but they exhibit a majority of what they collect. Which is nice since pretty much everything I photographed today is new to the gallery

Definitely need to redo the Decorator Crab one, but I'll have to do a follow-up visit in a few weeks to get more new species for the gallery
