Does anyone know when the London zoo last had African lions and what happens to them

They had them in 1829-1927 with lots of breeding success during 1880s to 1920s. I don't know what happened to all of them but it's likely that either there were many transfers or there were deaths

London Zoo still had African Lions up until the 90's.

Yes, continuously. I doubt there was any period in their history without them though Tim May will know for sure. I remember them in the old Lion House too. Then the Asian Lions arrived to replace them, I think London and Helsinki in Finland were the first two zoos to have them.

Thank you do you know what happend to the African lions once the asiatic lion arrived at London zoo and if the African lion had any cubs and if so where did they go
