Visited today for the first time Dierenpark Wissel in the Netherlands and was impresed by the nice collection at that place. I was most supraised however by the sign by the Agile Mangabey-enclosure. It said Dierenpark Wissel is the only place in the world with this subspecies ( Cerocebus agilis agilis ) in its collection ! I know the second subspecies Cerocebus agilis chrysogaster is kept at at least a few other collections but about the nominat-subspecies I'm not sure. Does anyone know if there are other collections with nominat-Agile mangabeys in their collection ?

That may well be .... I seem to remember that one mangabey species maintained in captivity in Europe had very few collections when ISIS data were still up.

I think this species had first been at Arnhem Burgers .. (in front of the camel/Przewalski horse exhibit aside the Tropical Halls.

Must check back which one it was (just to be sure I am not way off the mark there).

At Burger´s Arnhem the Black mangabey was kept at the place you mention.

When I visited Burger's some years back- I saw more Black Mangabeys(in two groups?) than I have seen anywhere else before, from memory, a dozen or more. I don't know if they still have them? This is a species which seemed to be 'in vogue' for a while.

The group was split... One part went to San Diego, the other to Gaiapark both in 2005
