Don’t understand this, unless it’s a push to get people to just buy a membership? It seems incredibly limiting to force people into a date that far out. Why not just give the small discount for purchasing online like everywhere else?
What happens when the family of four buys their tickets 60 days in advance and when the day finally comes, it’s pouring all day?
Especially in a smaller city like Akron, I don’t see many people planning their zoo trips more than a week or two out. If they’re trying to get a better idea of numbers for planning purposes, I think they’re going to be disappointed.

I'm more surprised Akron is doing this instead of Cleveland

No surprise on that one. In the past when I've tried to find out info about events on days I planned to visit they've told me to call them that morning before I leave home, even though I live 5 hours away

Sumini the Sumatran Tiger is now out on exhibit daily. You can tell the difference between her and Eko by the tail. When she was younger she sustained an injury which caused part of her tail to be amputated.
I'll have to keep that in mind when I go to Akron either later this month or in February
I have learned that the zoo is in the final design phase for the new bird habitat for Wild Asia.
That's the one being built behind Wild Prarie, correct?
Behind the Wild Prairie restrooms. Near where the old aviary was located.
I don't believe Akron hands out paper maps anymore. They used to be given to you when you entered but not anymore
The zoo will be offering free admission on Jan 15th in honor of MLK Day
