I thought I open a new thread for this private collection.
(since an Indian rhino birth was reported from them).

The center has an interesting collection of hoof stock, including it seems Indian rhino and reticulated giraffe (vouched for).

Also an interesting dik dik collection (Hinde's + ?Salt's), (black?) impala, Arabian tahr and Suni.

Given that there's now a thread for this collection, I'd like to emphasise that it's closed to the public.

More's the pity.

OKAPI in a privat collection ??? Is or are this ( these ) animal(s) part of any breeding program ?

Judging by videos posted on that page earlier this year they are continuing to do well breeding the Marbled Cats...... damn, I wish I could somehow get access to that place :p

0.1 Marbled Cat born on 29 December, giving a total of 5.3 of this species in the collection.

I had no idea they were up to eight cats! This is great news. I wonder if they are all the result of one founder pair?

Have a feeling I heard they got another pair in a year or two back.

The 3 female Marbled Cats in the collection are mother & daughters:
-The breeding female arrived at Al Bustan in April 2008
-First (surviving) female kitten born June 2012
-Second (surviving) female kitten born December 2015

If any unrelated female cat ever entered the collection, she didn't survive to the present time.
