No problem, hopefully my explanation was understandable.
I declare war on San Marino. What happens now?
Forgot to mention, NATO, UN and other world alliances are not applicable in this scenario, so we can make it more interesting. So he can attack San Marino. Sorry for not making this obvious in my explanation.Because Italy is responsible for the defence and security of San Marino, and is a NATO member whose territory you would have to cross to access San Marino, you will probably trigger Article Five and now be at war with essentially the entire Western world![]()
And don't forget, I have to roll the dice after a decision.
....does fantasizing about world wars and genocide really belong on a forum about zoos and animals? ....a game that actively calls for world domination, slaughter, and horrid acts of war such as the use of biological weapons seems really inappropriate.
I don't fully understand what you mean, but I can explain the dice system. On post 16 I explained what you can do in a war situation. If you choose to move, raid or blockade I roll a dice. How did you decide this?![]()
I don't fully understand what you mean
To be honest, that GIF is definitely me.![]()
You said you use a dice to make a decision, so I asked how you decided this![]()
I have reasons using ZooChatThis has only caused confusion I feel tbh. Something like this is more suitable for thefutureofeuropes wiki or a mapping discord server it feels weird to see this on ZooChat of all places.
Or you could just play EU4 lol
Okay, I want Wisconsin.
Do you two want to do a decision?I choose Neutral Hong Kong.
but does fantasizing about world wars and genocide really belong on a forum about zoos and animals?
3. ZooChat would allow more user interaction and enjoyment while not being drained by information about military size or something like that.
4. I am more familiar with ZooChat and find it a nice community which is unique to other online communities.
To be honest, I agree with your points. I have provided explanations but I now need to establish a rule. Please note: This post is in my capacity as a forum member, NOT as a moderator.
3. How much interaction and enjoyment are we seeing right now?
4. I think the fact that people on ZooChat are generally more civil and 'nice' is due to a set of norms that were established and have been quite fiercely protected. Although it can't really be said that people here behave as if they are talking in real life, in general on the internet accepted standards of discourse and courtesy have degenerated to a far lower level. It might be argued that our shared passion for zoos helps keep discussion elevated.
Zoo Cafe was created to provide off-topic space on the site which generally encourages community. It has always been mildly controversial in that some members would much rather all forum discussion was on-topic, but generally speaking I think most people appreciate its presence. The reason this thread is getting negative pushback, in my eyes, is that it seems symptomatic of a recent trend of increased off-topic traffic. In as much as a reasonable person might say 'There needs to be a balance' it feels like that balance has been lost.
As I have said in an above post, it is now a rule so nobody goes into detail in a war situation.I mean, should we even be fantasizing about these things at all?
*I know that we don't have to go into details about war, but still, I don't really think it belongs here.
