An article about the new Emperor Tamarins. Altina will be a facility that specifically houses surplus males to allow other zoos to continue breeding from their pairs and provide additional space for the programme. The zoo expects to soon receive a further 2 to 3 males to join their current two tamarins. Altina will also be receiving Dingoes by Christmas along with additional Maned Wolves and Spotted Hyenas over the coming months.

A few updates from Atlina Wildlife Park's social media:
  • three Bison calves have recently been born.
  • yet another Addax was born around mid-September. The Scimitar-horned Oryx also recently had at least one calf.
  • Altina's first Waterbuck calf born a few months ago was confirmed as male and been named Toretto.
  • four male African Wild Dogs, Aiden, Badu, Seimon and Severus, arrived from Sydney Zoo and are settling in well. They will be introduced to Altina-bred females very soon. There is also a recent video of the imported pair of hyena as well.
