Alton Towers

There was a recent thread about the sealife centre at Alton Towers in the UK zoo section.

The corkscrew ride, Europe's first double loop roller coaster is to be dismantled on 9th November.

Many articles of lost property have been recovered from the site since the ride opened in 1980.

These include
a diamond wedding ring
800 other items of jewellry
604 watches
237 mobile phones
53 odd shoes
10 articles of underwear
thousands of hats
a prosthetic ear

and amazingly one false leg.

Just how do you get off a ride with one leg less than when you got on and never notice?

Shame about the Corkscrew, do you know what will replace it?

I know, how can you go home not realising your missing a leg!!

I don't know what is going to replace it. Another strange point is, like some journalist said, how can someone lose a piece of their underwear and not the clothes on top of it.
